Our friend Sonoko Sakai is a phenomenal Japanese cooking teacher, cookbook author and creator of the homemade curry brick that the New York Times calls "the secret to Japanese comfort food on demand". The hardest part of which is procuring all the ingredients, so we did that for you! Simply toast the spices, create your flour and fat based roux (most folks do a stone ground whole wheat and butter, I do mochiko sweet rice flour and ghee!) and combine to create the nine small curry bricks that will make 36+ meals!
