*A Note about our Sizing

FYI: While our goal was to be as size inclusive as possible, we realized after receiving samples that our sweatsuit runs on the smaller side. We recommend getting one size larger if you want a looser fit!

Meet the Maker

Balancing bold color, handcrafted techniques, and an innovative play on traditional silhouettes, abacaxi is South Asian-American designer Sheena Sood's wearable vision. Named after the Portuguese word for pineapple, abacaxi hybridizes a tropical spirit with an NYC lifestyle. Expect mindfully-made clothing inspired by travel, vibrant hues, and the infinite beauty of nature.

Sheena has a background in weaving, print, and embroidery design, and has traveled around the world studying indigenous textile techniques. She brings that knowledge into her design ethos, and works with skilled artisans, dyers, and weavers in India, Peru, and Mexico to bring her ideas to life. abacaxi garments are made with natural fibers such as cotton khadi, linen, silk, and alpaca. They also upcycle sari material, repurpose tees, and design for minimal wastage when cutting and producing.
