We worked with our friends at East Fork to create the perfect vessel for your chai: a limited-edition East Fork x Diaspora Co. Kulhad in Panna Cotta. In keeping with custom, these handleless cups feature a subtle taper in the form line and widen to a full rim. OG kulhads are an alternative to plastic cups at roadside chai stalls. Our version honors that tradition and celebrates both the legacy and future of chai sipping! East Fork designs, manufactures and sells contemporary ceramic dinnerware made by hand with regional materials and a lot of integrity in Asheville, North Carolina. We’re so excited to partner with a like-minded brand, also committed to growing together, in community. Our Chai Kit is the result of truly thoughtful sourcing across South Asia — every single element and ingredient spans states and countries, and each cup of chai is emblematic of South Asian agriculture excellence!

Domestic US: We’ve updated our shipping model to be more accessible to folks who just want to restock a tin or two. Here's how our weight-based tiered shipping works:
$5 — under 0.5 lb aka most orders with 1-2 base tins
$7 — between 0.5 and 1 lb aka most orders with 3-4 base tins or 1 chef tin
$9 — everything else! Shipping is free if your cart value exceeds $75!

A Kulhad is a handle-less cup with a gentle taper that flares out at the rim. Traditionally, they’ve been the eco-friendly alternative to plastic cups at roadside chai stalls across India. Our version honors that history while bringing it into the present, made in collaboration with East Fork, a ceramic studio in Asheville, NC, known for their thoughtful, hand-crafted dinnerware.

What size is it?

Each Kulhad is 3 ⅛” wide x 3 ½” tall and holds about 8 oz to the brim, perfect for a steaming cup of chai or your golden milk latte!

Can I pop it in the dishwasher or microwave?
